The vibration of guilt will cap your revenue

Dear friend,

I’ve been thinking about guilt. How it impacts your vibration - and how it relates to money.

Trying to balance all of my roles in life as business owner, mama, wife, friend can very easily translate into guilt, for not doing enough or not being present enough.

I often find myself wanting to be somewhere other than the place I currently am. And I know this feeling is common.

This past week I decided to get more curious about guilt, and I realised that guilt is always about identity and values.

It arises because I think things should be a certain way instead of the way they are. It arises because I think I should be a certain way instead of the way that I am.

And the truth is that we can each choose to stop feeling guilty right now - right this second. But many of us do not because deciding not to be guilty means that we are fully embracing who we are and our decisions. Instead, we get to ride the fence between 2 different identities. Abandoning guilt makes us have to choose.

Let me give an example.

If I feel guilty for working on my business instead of spending time with my son - I get to hold on to the identity of being a good mother while working in my business . I feel better about working because guilt has given me permission.

But what if I decide to just have the identity of a good mother anyway? Radical right?

I can just decide that I am a good mother, I spend lots of time with my son. Those 2-4 hours a day don’t diminish that. In fact they would be a lot more productive if I just ditched the guilt.

Why am I telling you this?

Because people who are good at making money are also good at managing feelings of guilt. This is something very important to understand.

Guilt is always going to cap your earning power because you associate working and making money with something negative - eg spending time with family.

Guilt causes your subconscious to seek punishment. It just makes everything harder than it needs to be.

Deciding to shift guilt - not even necessarily by forgiving yourself in this instance, as forgiveness here would reinforce the idea that there is something to forgive - will shift your vibration powerfully so you can become more of a match for the business you are calling in

I hope that was helpful to you

With love

Lola
